KORBA – On date 01/07/2024, the new law Indian Justice Code, Indian Civil Defense Code and Indian Evidence Act has come into force all over India. For the promotion of which, as per the instructions of Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari, this day was celebrated like a festival by all the police stations/posts/in-charges.
Major provisions of the new law were explained by police officers in the presence of public representatives, councilors, sarpanches and general public in all the police stations.
MLA Katghora Prem Chand Patel was present on the occasion of the program at Police Station Katghora. Similarly, MLA Rampur Phool Singh Rathiya graced the program at Kartala police station.
The program was organized at Police Station Kotwali in the dignified presence of Mayor Rajkishore Prasad in which the Superintendent of Police himself was present.
It should be noted that new laws have come into effect from today. Due to which India’s criminal justice system is entering a new era which will make the country’s justice system more strong and transparent. The objective of the Indian Judicial Code is to reform the criminal justice system,
Whereas the Indian Civil Defense Code protects the rights of citizens as well as ensures security measures. The Indian Evidence Act deals with the recognition and authenticity of evidence presented in court. From today, zero and e-FIR can also be registered. And the prescribed time limit will be applied in all the processes.
