Needy citizens benefited from Balco’s Chotia Mega Health Camp
Bharat Aluminum Company Limited (BALCO), a Vedanta Group company, in collaboration with the District Health Department, organized a mega health camp at Parla Panchayat Bhawan, Chotia Mine. Medical counseling was also given in the camp aimed at providing primary health services to the community. About 180 citizens benefited from the camp.
A dedicated team of doctors, community health officers, rural health coordinators, support staff and nurses from several primary health centres, sub-health centers and community health centers provided essential health treatment to the community and medicines to the needy free of cost in the camp.
Along with providing general health checkup and counselling, the camp also focused on spreading awareness about Ayushman card registration. People from 7 villages of Chotia as well as Parla and Lalpur Panchayat participated in the health camp in which their necessary medical care and services were ensured.

Rural Health Posts ensure access to quality primary health services for communities through campaigns on important topics such as HIV, maternal and child health and malnutrition.
