Needy citizens benefited from Balco’s Chotia Mega Health Camp

Bharat Aluminum Company Limited (BALCO), a Vedanta Group company, in collaboration with the District Health Department, organized a mega health camp at Parla Panchayat Bhawan, Chotia Mine. Medical counseling was also given in the camp aimed at providing primary health services to the community. About 180 citizens benefited from the camp.

A dedicated team of doctors, community health officers, rural health coordinators, support staff and nurses from several primary health centres, sub-health centers and community health centers provided essential health treatment to the community and medicines to the needy free of cost in the camp.
Along with providing general health checkup and counselling, the camp also focused on spreading awareness about Ayushman card registration. People from 7 villages of Chotia as well as Parla and Lalpur Panchayat participated in the health camp in which their necessary medical care and services were ensured.

Parla Sarpanch Shri Jawahar Lal Marpachi appreciated the camp and said that this initiative of the children has brought important health services to our doorstep which has benefited everyone. The camp spread information and awareness among the people about health care. We express our gratitude to Balco and District Health Department for organizing the camp in Parla. And hope that such initiatives will continue in future.
Balko Arogya Project focuses on health care and serving the community. The company has been actively involved in various social welfare projects aimed at enhancing health care facilities for the communities. Rural Health Posts ensure access to quality primary health services for communities through campaigns on important topics such as HIV, maternal and child health and malnutrition.
The company also organizes health shivars and awareness campaigns to promote vaccination and menstrual hygiene practices while ensuring accessible health care through specialized counselling. The company aims to reach more than 45000 individuals in FY 2023 through its therapeutic services.
