After scrutiny, nominations of 56 candidates in all four assembly constituencies of the district were found valid.

The nominations filled for the four assembly constituencies of Korba district for the Korba Assembly Election 2023 were scrutinized today. During scrutiny, nomination papers of a total of 56 candidates were found valid. Under which, nominations of 22 candidates from Korba Assembly, 10 from Rampur Assembly, 15 from Katghora Assembly and 09 candidates from Pali Tanakhar Assembly have been accepted. Also, nomination papers of 05 candidates in the district have been canceled due to errors in their papers. The names of the candidates whose nominations have been found valid are as follows-

Assembly Constituency No. 20 Rampur – Nanki Ram Kanwar – Bharatiya Janata Party, Phool Singh Rathia – Indian National Congress, Sunita Devi Kanwar – Independent, Jagat Ram Rathia – Bahujan Samaj Party, Bireshwar Kanwar – Independent, Dhanwar Vedlal Vanvasi – Independent, Balmukund Rathia – Janata Congress Chhattisgarh(J), Ramdayal Oraon-Independent, Kanhaiya Anand Kanwar-Hamar Raj Party, Alexander Toppo-Johar Chhattisgarh Party.

After scrutiny today, nominations of Nirmala Devi Kanwar from Rampur assembly constituency, Shatrughan Sahu and Ashwani Kashyap from Korba, Prakash Das Mahant from Katghora and Shyam Bai Kanwar from Pali-Tanakhar assembly constituency were canceled.
