Two cases of theft at Minimata Girls’ College solved
Three accused arrested; stolen aluminium frame and iron crowbar used in the incident seized.
KORBA. – Theft cases solved through swift action by Korba Police.
The police have solved two incidents of theft that occurred at Minimata Girls’ College in Korba—which falls under the jurisdiction of the Manikpur Police Assistance Centre (Kotwali Police Station)—and have arrested three accused individuals.
The stolen aluminium frame and the iron crowbar used in the incident have been seized based on the information provided by the accused.
Acting on a tip-off, the police located the accused; the Manikpur Police Assistance Centre immediately initiated an investigation upon receiving reports of both theft incidents.
A search for the accused was underway based on the inspection of the crime scene, inquiries with people in the vicinity, and available evidence.
Meanwhile, acting on information received from an informant, the suspects were identified and apprehended. Interrogation and investigation revealed the involvement of all three accused in both incidents of theft.
Theft incidents at Minimata Girls’ College solved.
Unknown perpetrators targeted the building of Minimata Kanya Mahavidyalaya in Korba, entered the premises, and stole old, used aluminum windows.
In this connection, Crime Nos. 685/2026 and 687/2026 were registered and taken up for investigation. Three accused were apprehended based on evidence gathered during the investigation and information provided by an informant.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the stolen aluminium frame and the iron crowbar used in the incident were seized.

1. Sagar Kashyap, son of the late Lalan Kashyap, aged 22 years, resident of Mudapar Mahant Mohalla, Manikpur Outpost, Kotwali Police Station, Korba District.
2 Akash Oraon alias Tabbari, son of B.P. Oraon, aged 21 years, resident of Mudapar Sahu Mohalla, Manikpur Outpost, Kotwali Police Station, Korba District.
3 Ishwar Banjare, son of Ratan Banjare, aged 21 years, resident of Ramnagar (near the Durga Pandal), Manikpur Outpost, Kotwali Police Station, Korba District.
